Poulasteshwara puram also known as Polasa is a small village near jagtial.this village derives its name from the local deity paulastheswara swami.paulastheswara temple here was built during the reign of Prataparudra (1295-1323).Polasa was a capital under the Lordship of Medaraja (1080-1110).this was an important historic town during the dynasties of Rashtrakuta, Chalukya and Kakatiyas, with various inscriptions referring to this place as paulastyasrama pattana, polavaasadesa, paulasteswarapura etc. It apparently was also an important center of Vedic learning.the other ancient temples in our village is venu gopalaswami gudi.nrusimha swami alayam and gaddameedi hanuman alayam , godess pochamma gudi.Moharram is great event in our village.One of the greatest asset of village is Acharya N.G Ranga vishwavidyalayam which is for farmers for fulfilling their needs.
